The Office of Student Life is comprised of the following six departments:
Nebraskan Student Union - The Nebraskan Student Union is the host center of the campus. It provides facilities, retail areas, quality programs, and involvement opportunities in a dynamic, inclusive environment designed to enhance the collegiate experience. Services and programs are intentionally planned to foster out-of-class learning, leadership, and social interaction for UNK students and the university community.

Multicultural Affairs - Located in the east end of the Nebraskan Student Union, the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) and Multicultural Center are places where students from diverse backgrounds can come together to plan events and raise cultural awareness on campus. There is a study area, computer bar, lounge, and student organization offices to give all students a place to meet, study, relax, and plan events.

Greek Affairs - The Office of Greek Affairs oversees and advises UNK's seven fraternities, seven sororities, the Interfraternity, Panhellenic, and Multicultural Greek Councils, the Greek Week Committee, and Order of Omega Honor Society.

Student Engagement & Activities - The Office of Student Life also hosts our Student Activities department. Student Activities at the University seeks to provide students with the opportunities, resources, and support necessary to explore and expand their personal interests, build relationships, and work with others. In addition, Student Activities strives to cultivate and foster the development of professional skills and experiences, help students grow as individuals, and have fun while attending the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
By promoting civic engagement through UNK and the Kearney community, creating partnerships, and fostering an environment that values diversity and self-directed learning, Student Activities contributes to the holistic development of our students. Student Activities at UNK includes over 200 student organizations for all students to get involved with. We also provide leadership development opportunities, help plan events, assist in developing programming, and assist student leaders and guide organizations that greatly enrich every student’s experience at UNK.

Student Conduct & Leadership - The mission of Office of Student Leadership & Conduct is to develop civic-minded students by holding students accountable for their behavior, to educate them about the consequences of their actions, and to protect the University's Faculty, Staff, Students, and property.

UNK ID Card - Our award-winning UNK ID Card Office provides university identification cards for students, staff, faculty/emeriti faculty, guest vendors, and other approved groups to utilize the University’s facilities and programs. The office also re-issues lost or severely stressed UNK ID cards to the aforementioned groups of individuals. Our helpful staff makes your access and experience to the University second-to-none.
