The Nebraskan Student Union is the host center of the campus. It provides facilities, retail areas, programs, and involvement opportunities in a dynamic, inclusive environment designed to enhance the collegiate experience. Services and programs are intentionally planned to foster out-of-class learning, leadership, and social interaction for UNK students and the university community. This office also works with student government, student leadership groups, and with the student-led LPAC (Loper Programming and Activities Council).

By promoting civic engagement through UNK and the Kearney community, creating partnerships, and fostering an environment that values diversity and self-directed learning, Student Activities contributes to the holistic development of our students. Student Activities at UNK includes over 200 student organizations for all students to get involved with. Leadership development opportunities, helping plan events, assisting in the development of programming, assistance of student leaders and guide organizations that greatly enrich every student’s experience at UNK are all provided through student activities. We also work with the UNK Spirit Squad and Louie the Loper.
