Psychology is the scientific investigation of behavior and mental processes. The academic programs provide a solid foundation for understanding psychology and illuminates some of life’s most important questions. Psychology provides us with a rich understanding of social influence, learning, human intelligence, the roots of personality, the effects of stress on health, and a myriad of other topics.

Courses from experimental, social, developmental and clinical psychology assure well-balanced coverage of the entire field. The program at the University of Nebraska at Kearney also encourages students to explore their own interests in various areas of specialization including environmental psychology, psychology of gender, drugs and human behavior, and the psychology of criminal behavior.
