The Music Performance program at the University of Nebraska at Kearney is designed to permit the student to develop a high level of skill in piano performance and leads to the degree of Bachelor of Music in Performance. Because of the nature of this professional objective, the student entering this program must demonstrate superior musical abilities in piano.

Students enrolled in this comprehensive degree program will not only enjoy an opportunity to study performance with outstanding musicians, but they will also have an opportunity to broaden their understanding through a strong liberal arts curriculum, which includes music courses and general studies. The Performance major will appear frequently in student recitals and give full-length junior and senior recitals. Nolan Pribnow

“Fine-tuning both my teaching and performing skills has led me to experience growth as a musician and teacher. The music department is a place that fosters development for musicians. The small class sizes, one-on-one attention from faculty and opportunities for scholarship set the program apart from others in the state. In addition, the countless opportunities to perform in recitals, master class settings and competitions allow students to have a well-rounded experience as an undergraduate music major.”
