Mitchell Long

A particularly impactful experience that Mitchell had at UNK was when he volunteered for the Arc of Buffalo County for their Buddy Bowling Program. He was paired up to mentor and bowl with an eight year old boy with a developmental disability named Thomas. Mitchell says the learning went both ways. Thomas taught him that the only disability in life is a bad attitude. Mitchell says that attending UNK has made a big difference in his life; it provided him with endless opportunities to get involved, take on leadership roles, and create a network of friends.
