Honors Program

Honors Option Contract

Honors Option courses are selected from major requirements in the various disciplines. Traditionally, these three options are taken in the Junior/Senior semesters. They must be 300-400 level courses; other course levels by permission of the Director. The kind of independent study within the curriculum of these major courses will vary from course to course and from discipline to discipline, based mainly on each student’s own interests and needs.

The Senior Study is the final H-Option. Traditionally, the Senior Study acts as a Capstone Course or culmination of the student’s major work and Honors work and is directed and evaluated by a faculty member in the major discipline. A copy of the Senior Study is submitted to the Honors Program for the Senior Study Archive.

By submitting this form, you verify that all information is correct, that you met with the specified faculty on the date given, and that the work required to complete the H-Option was agreed upon mutually between you and the faculty member.

This contract will be reviewed by the Honors Director and verified with the participating faculty member.
