UNMC Programs at UNK

Health Science Education Complex

The HSEC is a collaboration between two UNMC colleges, the College of Allied Health Professions and College of Nursing, and two universities, the University of Nebraska at Kearney and University of Nebraska Medical Center. Housing more than a dozen health professions education programs, the HSEC promotes an interprofessional environment for students, faculty and staff.

The HSEC is designed to:

  • Address critical health care provider shortages in rural Nebraska 

  • Build upon the UNMC College of Nursing’s 20 years of success at UNK 

  • Expand access to UNMC College of Allied Health Professions programs 

  • Support research to improve the health of rural Nebraskans
