This master’s degree program will equip you with expertise to enter or advance in a career supporting university or community college students. Learn to identify what students need—along with the reasons behind those needs—and how to effectively guide them toward a successful and positive college experience.

UNK faculty who teach in the program have extensive knowledge of both higher education and student development, preparing you to work with students in diverse areas—from residence life and student health to academic advising, career services, disability support services, tutoring and more.

Employment of higher education student affairs professionals is projected to grow 10% from 2016 to 2026. The median annual wage for postsecondary education administrators was $92,360 in May 2017.
