As a Criminal Justice major at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, you will be prepared for challenging and exciting careers within federal, state, county and municipal justice systems. The curriculum includes specialized courses reflecting current trends in justice in the United States and world-wide.

In classes with low student-to-faculty ratios, you will have access to faculty with both real-life and research experience—and have the opportunity to get the most out of each course from exciting applied-learning experiences. Jesse Bartels

“I chose criminal justice as my major because I wanted to make a difference in a community by serving others and being a positive influence in their lives.” “When I first visited the UNK campus, the students and faculty I met with made me feel welcome. I was able to speak with professors from the criminal justice department one-on-one before I even applied to attend UNK, and they answered all of my questions.”
